How it works

Scenario Planning

Change several channels at once

A scenario can be a small adjustment or a complete reshuffle of budgets. It matters that the calculation accounts for the interaction between channels and for the fact that the return can change at higher budgets.

Compare the expected results and the uncertainty

The model calculates which commercial outcome can be expected for each scenario. A forecast is no guarantee, and larger changes beyond the known data often bring extra uncertainty. That is why scenarios are meant to give your choices a better foundation. They do not remove risk.

Check afterwards whether the forecast came true

After the budget change you chose, you compare the actual results with the forecast. This makes planning part of a recurring process of forecasting, deciding and evaluating.
